Lyrics
Beneath the streets of Waterdeep,
Where torchlight dreams and shadows sleep,
A silent oath, a secret plan,
A call to arms for mortal man.
The Lords have sent their chosen few,
Through gates where none return anew,
With scrolls and steel and spells in hand,
To purge the dark beneath the land.
But deep below, the fear takes hold,
The walls, they speak of tales untold…
The watchers wait with lidless eyes—
The Beholder stirs beneath the lies!
Eye of the Beholder, gaze into my soul!
Where the turning paths of madness take control.
Through the dungeon maze, where shadows lie,
We fight the dark, we do not die!
We are the flame that darkness fears—
The chosen ones, the last of seers!
Illithid minds and serpent kin,
The deeper halls wear evil’s grin.
The mirror breaks, illusions fall,
We face the truth, or lose it all.
I saw her eyes—an elven seer,
Bound by chains of crystal fear.
She sang the names of fallen kings,
And shattered stone with cursed rings…
Remember who you are, she cried,
A paladin who never lied,
A mage who swore to cleanse this tomb,
A thief who walks in silent gloom…
We’ve come too far to turn away,
The evil dies or we shall stay…
Our will is steel, our bond is true,
The light will shine when we are through!
Eye of the Beholder, tremble in your lair!
We bring the dawn, we breathe the storm-churned air.
No crystal eye can see our fate—
We rise as gods, we breach the gate!
The crown of fear shall turn to rust,
As legends rise from blood and dust!
And if we fall, remember this...
We braved the dark abyss...
…to guard the light...
…within the Eye.
