Lyrics
In a land where shadows feast,
A warrior rides, though hope’s deceased.
Through swamps of woe, Artax bled,
His lifeless eyes, my heart now dead.
The Nothing howls, a wretched tide,
Swallows dreams where sorrow hides.
Alone I stand, my spirit torn,
In endless dark, a soul forlorn.
From blackened depths, a voice like doom,
"I am Gmork," he snarls through gloom.
"And you, whoever dares to breathe,
Shall be my last, my victory’s wreath."
"I am Atreyu, I will not break,
Come for me, Gmork, your end I’ll make!
I will not die easily, hear my vow,
Fight the Nothing, I rise up now!"
Through the void, where terror reigns,
I’ll carve my name in blood and flames!
His eyes ignite, a feral glare,
"Ha! Brave warrior, meet despair.
Fight the Nothing, if you dare,
It chews your soul, beyond repair."
But I, unbowed, with fury scream,
"I am a warrior!"—no fleeting dream.
Though Artax fell, his ghost remains,
A specter bound in rusted chains.
The swamp still echoes with his cries,
A grave of mud where courage dies.
Yet through the rot, my blade holds fast,
Defying fate, I’ll breathe my last.
"I am Atreyu, I will not break,
Come for me, Gmork, your end I’ll make!
I will not die easily, hear my vow,
Fight the Nothing, I rise up now!"
Through the void, where terror reigns,
I’ll carve my name in blood and flames!
"I am Atreyu," the shadows quake,
Gmork shall fall, the night I’ll take!
